The “ WHY ” question

The way I see things is simple: We’re missing the “helping each other” part.
Everyone’s caught up in their own world, driven by narcissism and ego, forgetting what truly matters.
Empathy is slowly fading as the noise of self-interest takes over.

When I opened my restaurant in Shanghai, I kept asking myself the same question: “Why?“
So I spent hours thinking, digging deep.
“Why do I want to get rich? What’s the point of all this hustle?”

But then, the answer hit me:
The real solution isn’t about me getting rich….
It’s about solving other people’s problems.
That’s where the real growth comes from.
When you add value to others' lives, everything else falls into place!

The Hard Decision No One Sees

The life of an entrepreneur? It’s all about solving those damn problems.
Problem here. Problem there. Opportunity everywhere.

People are so scared of the tough road because it’s outside their comfort zone.
No one f*ing told you that this is the spot where you grow???

The secret juice is why I’ve become successful?
Because I dared to choose the “scary” road.

12 years ago, when I was 19, I left my country
No education. No savings. No rich parents.
Just dreams. Excitement. And that spark inside me.
And then I realized it wasn’t scary at all…

When I first created my restaurant, I didn’t know jack about business.
I only knew one thing: I loved to eat. ~ LOL

But the “why” behind it gave me the purpose to start.
To build something remarkable.

2013. I stepped off the plane into a whole new world.

China.
A culture I had never experienced.
A language I could not speak.
No friends waiting for me.
No job offer. No safety net.
Just a wild dream… and a fire in my chest I could not ignore.

Shanghai was booming back then.
It was the golden era.
The city felt alive, like anything was possible.
And somehow, I felt like I belonged there, even though I had no clue what I was doing….

If you’ve followed my IG for the past ten years,
You probably remember the chaos I posted
random moments, late-night thoughts, behind-the-scenes madness. The crazy travel trips…
There were days I was lost,
days I felt like … I was on top of the world,
and everything in between.

Sometimes I scroll back through those old posts and ask myself:
Did I really live through all that?
The energy. The risk. The heartbreak. The breakthroughs.
All of it feels like a lifetime packed into a few years.

Some People Were Lessons. Some Were Light.

The universe kept showing up in the form of people.
Some of them became lifelong friends.
Some became mentors.
And some?
Let’s just say I learned who not to trust…

But even that was a gift.
Because if you only experience the good,
how do you even recognize what good is?

The rollercoaster made me who I am.
It taught me patience.
Resilience.
And most importantly, it taught me to trust myself
even when I had no clue what was waiting around the corner.

Looking back now, I would not change a single thing.

One Decision. One Life.

But after all these thoughts… And let’s close up here,
I still ask myself: what if?

What if I never came?
What if I never made it?
What if I let fear decide for me?
What if I listened to my parents?
Listen to those who said, “Don’t go.” It’s not safe.
To those who laughed and said, “It’s impossible.”

Well….
We’ll never know.

And maybe, that’s the beauty of it.
